Non-profit Organizations Case Study:
London Chamber of Commerce Strategic Plan
In July 2021, Mellor Murray Consulting was retained by the London Chamber of Commerce to develop a Strategic Plan to guide the Chamber’s efforts for the next three years. The strategic planning process incorporated a collaborative approach embedding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles throughout the strategic planning process guided by sub-consultant Senomi Solutions.
The assignment included an environmental scan, analysis of membership trends, study on best practices of comparable chambers of commerce and extensive consultation with chamber members, board, staff, aligned community and business organizations, non-members and representatives from under-represented groups. The final product incudes strategic actions under three pillars: strong and impactful member services; operations and governance excellence; and economic prosperity and social progress.
Aileen and her team developed an innovative, ambitious and actionable plan that we are excited to implement. The team worked closely with our members and staff to create a strategic plan that reflects our shared values and clearly defines where we want to go and how we plan to get there.
