Chatham-Kent Capitol Theatre - RFP Facilitation
The Municipality of Chatham-Kent needed assistance with the preparation and administration of a Request for Proposal for the operation of the Capitol Theatre, a 1200 seat performing arts centre. Mellor Murray Consulting facilitated the RFP process including consulting with an evaluation committee, establishing the evaluation criteria, drafting the RFP, compiling evaluation results and presenting the committee recommendations to Municipal Council. The project included an analysis of the economic and social activity associated with the theatre operations and the development of performance measures for future reports to Council.
“Mellor Murray Consulting demonstrated a clear understanding of the contribution that arts and culture make to the economy as well as the nuances associated with the ownership and operation of a large-scale facility. In all, the project was delivered on time and within budget and to the satisfaction of Council, the community, and municipal purchasing by laws, which was in no small part due to the ability of Mellor Murray Consulting to present the sector analysis and RFP results in a clear and concise manner. I highly recommend Mellor Murray Consulting and the quality of the company’s research, output, and commitment to delivering reliable results and a quality project.”
