Bradford West Gwillimbury - Economic Development Marketing Plan
The Economic Development Office is in a unique growth phase, and BWG staff knew they needed to be positioned to the GTA and regional markets as a polished and professional organization. It was important that the new brand was embraced and endorsed by their community.
Mellor Murray Consulting collaborated with Amplify Communications to develop The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury (BWG) Economic Development Strategic Marketing Plan. The project included a Consultation Report, Findings & Issues Report, Priority Report, Industrial Commercial Institutional Realtors Survey and a Marketing Strategy and Implementation Plan.
The project included competitive research on economic development marketing best practices, a survey of Industrial Commercial Institutional Realtors and an overview of digital media opportunities. Community engagement was also an important component with in-person focus groups an online survey and ongoing interaction with the Town’s Economic Development Advisory Committee.
The resulting marketing strategy included a unique brand positioning statement and a sub-strategy for five key target sectors. Work is continuing with the development of a suite of marketing materials including a new website, videos, a general lure brochure, investment guide and collaterals. A digital marketing campaign is also planned.
